Binchotan White Charcoal Products

Hardwood binchotan from Indonesia in three size grades, laboratory tested at about 95 % fixed carbon and packed in 15 kg export cartons.

Sizes and packing

Every grade is the same product: white charcoal made from palawan, a dense hardwood from Kalimantan, fired in traditional kilns. What changes is the length of the stick, so you can match the charcoal to your grill.

How to choose a size

Start from the grill, not the charcoal. A shallow tabletop konro needs short pieces that sit below the grate; a wide robata or a long yakiniku trough is easier to run on longer sticks that hold a steady bed with fewer top-ups.

Round sticks keep their shape longest. Split pieces light a little more easily and pack flatter, which helps when you need an even, low fire bed.
